Artist Commission for The Advertiser's 10 year online celebrations;

Free Work Shops for SALA open studio weekend Saturday 13th August

Cats in the Loft will be host to workshops and Artist pop up studios over the SALA 'Open Studio Weekend' Please do come up stairs to talk to our Exhibiting Artists and join in the fun of learning a new skill.

Free workshops 

Fall of Light Workshop by Thomas Readett
Saturday 13th August; 11am–1pm & 2pm-4pm
Cats in the Loft Gallery, Level 1, 168 St Vincent St, Port Adelaide.

Come and learn the Fall of Light technique employed by Thomas to create his latest body of work and SALA exhibition ‘Beneath The Skin’. All materials supplied. 

In this event you will be required to paint the human skull, however each painting will be drawn up ready for you when you arrive. That way this event will be suitable for any age and skill level. 

There will be two sessions for this workshop;
Morning Workshop: 11am - 1pm 
Afternoon Workshop: 2pm - 4pm

Cost: The cost of these workshops will be any amount you choose to donate. 100% of your donation will go to Beyond Blue as part of Thomas's beyond blue bash!

Glass beading workshop by Julie Frahm
Saturday 13th August, 11am - 2pm
Cats in the Loft Gallery, Level 1, 168 St Vincent St, Port Adelaide.

Come and create your own beaded key chain using Julie's beautiful handmade glass beads. All materials supplied.

Cost: Donations gratefully accepted on the day with 100% of all money raised being donated to Australian Indigenous Mentoring Experience (AIME). AIME provides a dynamic educational Program that gives Indigenous high school students the skills, opportunities, belief and confidence to finish school. 

Bookings: Not required. Drop in, make a key chain, enjoy the exhibition.

I Hart Iconic Port Adelaide

The much loved Hart's Mill and adjacent

buildings on the Port River have long stood

as symbols of what was and what could be.

Reminiscent of vintage travel advertisements

this series of illustrative works delight in the

Port’s unique beauty and enchantment.
