Beneath the Skin

In this body of work I will be exploring my own views of the emotional and physiological processes that define us as humans. Like many, I have found through painting I can not only express myself but also relieve myself of emotional trauma and experiences. Through my work, I hope I can take my viewer on a journey to explore and express what lies Beneath The Skin.

Bio

Thomas Readett is an Emerging Artist from Adelaide, South Australia currently working from Ripple Studios, Port Adelaide.

 

Thomas has been a drawer his entire life ever since he was a child, wanting to further his carrier as a professional artist he enrolled into Adelaide Central School of Art in 2011, and it was then he began painting. This is now one of his main practices. Thomas graduated his study at Adelaide Central School of Art completing his Associates Degree and Bachelor of Visual Arts Degree (BVA) in 2015. During his time at Adelaide Central School of Art he held group shows with fellow graduates and ended the degree with his final body of video work based around ideas of Solitude and a personal journey through his identity.  

 

Thomas is currently working for Adelaide Central School of Art in facilities, the Art Gallery of South Australia in Education, teaching primary and secondary students and at Gilles Plains Primary School as an Instructor in Visual Arts.
