My goal is to elicit joy!

 

As a self-taught artist, to create a story, no matter how small, from wire, clay, paper, paint, or any other medium has been my life-long passion. Left alone with anything that can be bent, carved, drawn on, or otherwise manipulated, I will shape it into something else- usually a creature.

 

My artwork aims to reflect and amplify the quirky and joyous events of the everyday. My strong preoccupation with dogs, history, food and science belie all of my drawings, and are expressed to varying degrees, in each.

 

At present my focus is on watercolour painting with a specific interest in capturing the many expressions of the animals with whom we share our lives.

 

I live locally, with my muse, a charismatic greyhound-cross named Pen. We explore the world together at every opportunity, on the hunt for fabulous smells, sights and other delights!
