Bio
Bev Puckridge is a highly respected South Australian artist working in acrylic and mixed media. Her current work includes paintings that incorporate fabrics sourced from op shops and overseas markets to provide an additional narrative to her striking portraits of women adorned with body decoration referencing tattoos, body paint and projected light. This play of beauty and adornment creates an edgy tension in these astounding works of art.
Bev’s illustrative design work includes an ongoing series of ‘cats with attitude’. These works have a whimsical nature and use images of cats (and also dogs) to tell us something about our own self and character.
Bev has a long history of involvement in the arts as both a visual arts lecturer and practicing artist. Her work includes oil and acrylic paintings, illustrations and ceramics. These works have been admired and collected by Australian and international art lovers over many years.
